Approximately 20,000 people showed up to celebrate our national recognition as “Indie Pizzeria of the Year”, a number that we could only have dreamed about three weeks ago. We gave 8,451 free pizzas back to the communities which have given so much to us. That’s over $100,000 worth of free pizza! To top things off, on Tuesday I had the opportunity to sit down with President Obama for a 35 minute roundtable discussion. We talked about how important it is for businesses like Tutta Bella to get access to capital so that we can invest in our guests and continue to invest in you. I thanked him for signing the Economic Recovery Act, which provided funding for our new location in Issaquah AND our remodel in Columbia City. But my real reason for writing this letter is to thank you for all that you did to make the free pizza celebration a success. I know that you worked extra hours and sacrificed personal plans to support our guests and your co-workers. I cannot find the words to thank you enough for this, so I will simply say that I am honored to be able to work with people like you who have such caring hearts, generous spirits and positive attitudes. TUTTA BELLA SUPPORTS Since 1989, Cedar Grove Composting has diverted over 4 million tons of organic material from landfills, preventing 3.72 million metric tons (C02e) of greenhouse gas emissions - the equivalent of removing approximately 670,000 cars from the road. TUTTA BELLA CELEBRATES In a rare visit to the United States, The Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana (AVPN) will visit Seattle, from Naples, Italy, to certify seven local establishments, making Seattle the U.S. city with the highest density of certified Neapolitan pizzerias. We'll be kicking off the week on the roof of the Space Needle, with a tribute from the Governor by State Senator Ed Murray. Tutta Bella was the first Seattle establishment to become VPN certified and honorees will include our newly opened Issaquah location. Want to show your love of Vera Pizza to the rest of Seattle? You're invited to savor for a free slice at "Pizza alla Piazza" on Wednesday June 24th from 4:00 pm -8:00 pm. Swing by our piazza, located two blocks north of Tutta Bella Columbia City at 3827 S. Edmunds Street. ParkingTutta Bella validates guest parking for up to 1 1/2 hours in the 2200 Parking Garage located off of 9th Avenue and Westlake Avenue. Retail/restaurant parking is located in the garage on the north end of level P-4. Directional signage is located in the garage to direct retail/restaurant customers towards this designated parking area. There is also complimentary 30 minute parking stalls available on the Plaza level. On the surrounding streets, hourly and metered parking spaces are available. DirectionsFrom the North heading South: Take I-5 southbound, take the Stewart Street exit (Exit 166) toward Denny Way. Turn slight right onto Stewart Street, turn slight right onto Denny Way, turn slight left onto Lenora Street. Turn right onto Westlake Avenue. Tutta Bella is on the SW corner of Denny Way and Westlake Avenue, directly above Whole Foods Market.
